Pictured to the side are the members of my talented cast, as well as my director. My play Lively Stones received a really lovely staged reading thanks to their dedication, care and strong artistic work. Certainly, I was able to take the script to new heights, vis a vis thrilling escalations and heightened philosophical confrontations, because Shelley Delaney and company asked me the hard questions, and pushed me to find the humanity inherent within the political allegory I was building.
Overall, the festival went well this year, and I think The Post's article does a nice job illustrating how much the playwrights were playing around with structure, as well as adding to the lively political debate within this country.
